With a healthy dose of entrepreneurial spirit, business savvy, and marketing acumen, Ken Rosen has grown a sleepy-eyed traditional flower shop into today’s Encore Décor - a recognized leader among Washington and Baltimore’s competitive special events community.
As president and chief operating officer of Encore Décor, Ken spearheaded the movement positioning the company squarely within the event production arena, offering corporate and social clients a wide range of services ranging from set design and custom props to table top decor and floral design services.
Ken is a hands-on manager of daily operations and has built the company’s solid reputation by providing superior service and product at competitive prices. Surrounded by a staff of seasoned and talented design professionals, Encore Décor is a strong regional player currently pursuing the special events industry on a national scale.
As the company’s manager and director on a day-to-day basis, Ken oversees all aspects of the business - from purchasing to sales and all the steps in between. After hours, he enjoys spending time with his wife and six children and reading non-fiction, political literature.

With an accomplished past as a freelance floral designer, Ericka now oversees all purchasing activities at Encore Decor and serves as Chief Designer on all floral arrangements. Stylish, striking, and airy are the best words to describe Ericka’s most desired look. Her goal is to always create a design that reflects the client’s personality and style, but she is often heard saying, “If it isn’t moving, it’s not done.”
Ericka honed her skills as a designer in both the wholesale and retail environment in her native Guatemala and here in Washington, DC.
As Vice President, she uses her strong business acumen and works diligently to maintain a company that is operationally sound. She is a wonderful compliment to Ken Rosen and the overall leadership of Encore Décor.

A certified image and color consultant, Carla Harris brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the clients of Encore Décor. Carla has been responsible for changing and enhancing the image and style of professionals for the past 25 years and brings that same skill level and experience to each event.
Carla’s ability to help the client transform what they envision to reality is uncanny. Through a comprehensive understanding of color, textiles, and style, she works to decipher the client’s desires into executable concepts. Making sure these concepts come to life allows Carla to focus on the feeling and experience special event attendees have when they first walk into a room designed by Encore Decor.

Crystal has worked in many roles throughout her career at Encore Décor. From her early days as an administrative assistant, to office manager, and now as Ken’s very competent and talented Executive Assistant, Crystal has worked in nearly every aspect of the business. In her position, Crystal has created strong relationships with our long-standing clients and has grown to be very comfortable helping them develop ideas, cultivate a look, and bring their visions to life.
While many people are always looking for “greener grass” when it comes to a career, Crystal realized some time ago that Encore Decor is “as green as it gets.” She enjoys the energy and creativity that permeates the business and has developed an amazingly collaborative work style with her colleagues.

In Mark’s role as Production Manager, he can be referred to as the Executioner. While his primary responsibility is to oversee a staff of installers, everything begins and ends with a rendering.
Mark spends much of his nine-to-five schedule generating photo renderings based on the ideas of the Creative Design team and vision of the client. Once approved, Mark’s primary responsibility kicks into gear. He makes certain all design elements portrayed in the renderings are executed, while maintaining the overall integrity of the design.
Mark supervises the construction of specially ordered decor elements and oversees a staff of professional event installers. When working with the design team Mark brings a valued perspective - making sure the job can be executed.
